About Warong
Warong is a South-East Asian restaurant located in Glen Osmond, South Australia. Taking its name from the Malay word for a small, welcoming eatery, the restaurant brings the flavours of South-East Asian cuisine to Adelaide's inner east. Like all hospitality businesses, Warong manages a demanding set of overheads: commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, air conditioning, and extended trading hours all contribute to an energy bill that adds up quickly, putting pressure on already tight restaurant margins.
How Zembl helped
Warong contacted Zembl to find out whether their current electricity plan was still competitive. Zembl reviewed the restaurant's existing rates and compared them against the market, before arranging a new deal estimated to save the business $5,800 a year.^ With Zembl handling the comparison and the switch from end to end, the team at Warong could keep their focus on the kitchen rather than the energy market.
^Savings are estimates only and are based on comparing the customer's previous energy rates with the new rates arranged through Zembl, using the customer's historical usage data. Actual savings may vary depending on changes to energy usage, future rates, and other factors outside of Zembl's control. Past savings are not a guarantee of future outcomes. Participating customers of the success story surveys may receive a small gift card as a token of appreciation of their time. All feedback reflects the customer's own experience.
