About Wohlers
Wohlers is a long-standing Australian retail business with deep roots in the Barossa Valley. It began in 1988 when Daryl and Marilyn Wohlers opened The Tanunda Pottery Shop, originally selling handmade pottery and craft items. Over the years the business evolved, expanding its range beyond pottery into furniture, homewares and a wide variety of lifestyle products. Today it operates multiple stores across South Australia, offering quality furniture and home goods while retaining its family business ethos and focus on personalised service.
How Zembl helped
Zembl partnered with Wohlers to review their energy plan and understand how energy was being used across the business. Using our market expertise, Zembl compared available offers from our panel of leading Aussie energy retailers and found a more competitive plan that delivered savings of around $5,200* per year. The switch to the new contract was handled end to end by Zembl, removing administrative burden and ensuring a smooth changeover with no disruption to business operations.
Wohlers acknowledged that rising energy prices had affected the business and noted that energy costs are particularly significant in the retail sector. Reflecting on the experience, the customer described the service as “very good”, highlighting a straightforward process supported by clear communication and expert guidance.
*Savings are estimates only and are based on comparing the customer’s previous energy rates with the new rates arranged through Zembl, using the customer’s historical usage data. Actual savings may vary depending on changes to energy usage, future rates, and other factors outside of Zembl’s control. Past savings are not a guarantee of future outcomes.
Participating customers of the success story surveys may receive a small gift card as a token of appreciation of their time. All feedback reflects the customer's own experience.
