How Zembl helped

Moits & Sons first partnered with Zembl in July 2021. Through our energy procurement service, we secured a multi-year retail energy contract with Origin running from January 2023 to December 2025, locking in competitive rates and giving the team certainty on a major operating cost.

In July 2025, Moits re-engaged Zembl ahead of contract expiry. We ran a fresh competitive tender across our retailer network on their behalf, and successfully secured a new agreement with Origin running through to December 2028. Three more years of price stability, no time spent comparing offers, and one less thing to think about.

LED lighting upgrade with Esena

Procurement is just one piece of the puzzle. In December 2025, Zembl proactively contacted NSW customers to flag a NSW Government scheme supporting LED lighting upgrades, with the program set to close at the end of March 2026. Moits expressed interest, and engaged us to assess the business case for their site.

Working with our delivery partner, Esena, we conducted a detailed site assessment, developed a complete inventory of the existing lighting infrastructure, and prepared a tailored proposal. The project covered 379 lights across the warehouse, offices, and surrounding outdoor areas.

The upgrade was delivered in March 2026 before the scheme closed at the end of the month, with the NSW Government rebate offsetting a significant share of the upfront project cost. The expected outcomes:

1. $13,800^ government rebate secured under the scheme

2. ~$19,000^ in projected annual savings

3. 78%^ reduction in lighting and maintenance costs

4. 20-month^ payback period

5. ~80 tonnes^& of CO₂ avoided every year

Beyond the dollars, the upgrade gives Moits a brighter, more reliable lighting environment across the site, and is expected to mean significantly less time and money spent on lamp replacements and maintenance call-outs.
