About Venus Bay Surf Life Saving Club
Venus Bay Surf Life Saving Club has patrolled Victoria's beach number one since 1961, logging more than 1,200 rescues, 25,000 preventative actions and over 125,000 volunteer patrol hours. As a volunteer-run club, every dollar counts. "Rising costs affect our ability to fund important areas of the club, including equipment and training," explains club contact Elliot Amalos. With a focus on community safety, education and junior development, rising energy costs were putting added pressure on the club's limited budget.
How Zembl helped
Zembl compared the market on behalf of Venus Bay Surf Life Saving Club and secured a more competitive energy deal, saving the club $3,600^ a year. Elliot described his experience with Zembl's Alex Evans as "streamlined, friendly and efficient, without being overly sales-driven or pushy." Alex provided the facts, answered questions and gave Elliot time to consider the offer. With lower energy costs, the club can direct more of its volunteer-raised funds back into lifesaving equipment, training and junior programs that are central to its work.
^Savings are estimates only and are based on comparing the customer's previous energy rates with the new rates arranged through Zembl, using the customer's historical usage data. Actual savings may vary depending on changes to energy usage, future rates, and other factors outside of Zembl's control. Past savings are not a guarantee of future outcomes. Participating customers of the success story surveys may receive a small gift card as a token of appreciation of their time. All feedback reflects the customer's own experience.
